Wonderful brand pistachios were called because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, announced Thursday the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The affected products may have been sold in bulk or in containers and can be labeled or not, it said in a notice from the CFIA.
The "roasted pistachios salt" (expiration: 2016/10/26, in sizes of 200 g and 225 g), the "roasted and salted pistachios" (expiration: 2016/10/27, size 225 g) and product "Roasted Salted Pistachios" (expiration: 2016/11/02 or 2016/11/05, format 25 lb) are part of the recall.
The CFIA, however, that pistachio nuts not to consume "could have a different product name" and recommends that "consumers who are not certain to have bought the products referred" to check with their retailer.
