The province emergency services beyond

The province emergency services continue to overflow with occupancy rates close or exceeding 250%.

This was particularly the case in Saint-Eustache hospital Wednesday with the corridors of the emergency overflowed with an occupancy rate of 222%. The situation has however improved Thursday
This is in the hospital Pierre-Le Gardeur de Terrebonne, LanaudiГЁre, the occupancy rate was highest in the greater Montreal area to 247%.

"Of course we had many influenzas, which were very late this year. The predominant factor in two, three days, is the traffic we had, with many older patients, "says Dr. Jacques Plante.

Many patients expect indeed a place in a nursing home and long term care (nursing home).

"The current problem that we saw with emergencies, it is a recurring problem in emergencies anywhere in Quebec (...) It happens sometimes very quickly. In 12 or 24 hours, the situation may change a lot, "adds Dr. Plante.

Although there are no major problems at the City Health Lavla, a complaint was made to the Standards Commission, equity, health and safety (CNESST).

"The CSST has not yet presented. It is imperative that there be a CSST report to protect workers on the floor, "says an employee of the hospital.

Since the filing of the complaint, it is rather the other emergencies in the North Shore overflowing or Pierre-Le Gardeur and Saint Eustatius.

"This is a big problem in North crown. And, with the cuts that it currently has Sir Barrette, want, want not, we still have 15 million cut this year, "says the employee.
