Drouin hurts IceCaps

Quebecers Jonathan Drouin and Yanni Gourde have each scored twice Sunday in Syracuse, leading the Crunch to an easy 6-2 victory at the expense of St. John's IceCaps.
After Charles Hudon had scored the first of his two goals of the day in the second minute of play, the local favorites donned five consecutive threads. Gourde and Jeff Tambellini took turns counted before the locker room.

In the second period, Richard Tanner, who had three points, hit the target to make it 3-1.

Then Gourde recurred and Drouin, who will complete the campaign with the farm team of the Tampa Bay Lightning, collected his sixth goal of the season in the American League.

He completed the scoring with 15 seconds left to commitment, capitalizing on a power play.

Kristers gudļevskis stopped 22 pucks for the winners.

For its part, Zachary Fucale sold six times in 24 shots. He was replaced by Eddie Pasquale early last third. This made four stops.

The troop of head coach Sylvain Lefebvre play its next two home games against the Rochester Americans, Wednesday and Friday.
