A man of 19 was injured during an assault occurred Wednesday in the late afternoon in Montreal in the borough of Saint-Laurent.
A conflict broke out between the suspect and another man, 17 to 15 pm, Gold street, near the street Brunet, said Couture Manuel, spokesman of the Police Service of the City of Montreal. The victim tried to intervene between the two and that's when the assault took place.
"The victim was stabbed in the upper body by a sharp object," said Couture agent, stressing that it was aware when she was taken to hospital. There is no fear for his life.
The suspect fled. No weapons were found and no arrests were made.
A crime scene was erected, but it was closed in the evening.
The man involved in the initial conflict was questioned by police. The victim must also be met by the authorities. The suspect is actively being sought. This would be a man in his twenties.
