Six candidates officially nominated in Chicoutimi


Six applications were accepted by the Director General of the Quebec election for the election in the riding of Chicoutimi on April 11, to fill the seat vacated by the PQ Stephane Bedard.


Aspirants for deputy had until 14 am Saturday to formalize their candidacy.

The Green Party and Option nationale, which has no member elected to the National Assembly, were the last party to enter the arena with the youngest candidate in the race.

The Green Party leader, Alex Tyrrell, aged 25, and Catherine Bouchard-Tremblay, age 23, try their luck in Chicoutimi.

On the side of the Parti Quebecois, Mireille Jean must conduct a field campaign alongside Stéphane Bédard who gave him his support.

The candidate Francyne T. Gobeil, who is close to the mayor of Saguenay, Jean Tremblay, is running for the Liberals.

The future Quebec Coalition for its implementation on the candidacy of former radio host Hélène Girard, while Pierre Dostie will campaign for Quebec solidaire.
